Today Shell Australia is focused largely in the upstream sector, especially in the exploration, development and production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and oil.

Design and execute a range of activities to determine the allocation of gas and water from sales and custody transfer points back to wells in this key role. Reporting to the Metering Principal Engineer and Hydro Carbon Accounting Engineer, you’ll also oversee the validation of data inputs and ensure that the allocation activities are executed according to the asset’s allocation principles.

It’s a challenge that calls for working knowledge of relevant plant and systems and the abilities to meet deadlines identify potential consequences and take proactive action. Superior skills across relationship management, policy and procedure development and communication are also required.   Understand the gas purchases and sales agreements and consequent application of contract terms in order to determine appropriate structure of the Gas Allocation system. We are looking for an collaborative and motivated individual with a successful track record. It is essential you have experience in Production Data Management Systems and Hydrocarbon Accounting and Metering Systems. Ideally, you’ll also have working knowledge of Energy Components.  Tertiary level education in an Engineering or Commercial field and understanding and working knowledge of plant and systems is essential.  You will be highly numerate with strong verbal and written communication skills and good MS Excel skills.
