We are recruiting for a Safety Engineer on a staff basis.

§ Providing independent technical safety engineering advice to ensure that the risks to personnel on North Sea assets are managed to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP), thereby ensuring compliance with corporate objectives and UK legislation.

§ Understanding and knowledge of UK legislation (including OSCR, PFEER, PSR, MAR, DCR) and main regulatory bodies.

§ Ensuring major hazards are effectively assessed, evaluated and managed in accordance with relevant statutory and corporate requirements.

§ Maintaining Operations Safety Cases and associated documentation for North Sea assets.

§ Assessment, evaluation and management of cumulative risk where Safety Critical Elements are identified as impaired.

§ Providing independent technical safety engineering advice on modifications, technical queries, maintenance and projects to ensure company fulfils its responsibilities under the legal framework.

§ Chairing and attending ORAs and Bowtie Assessments as required.

§ Identify and initiate safety studies and support external consultants carrying out these studies to ensure delivery of effective technical solutions.
