Assists the Corporate Controller in meeting financial objectives by designing and maintaining the accounting system, preparing periodic financial reports and supervisor the work of the finance assistants who process accounting payables and cash receipts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide financial support as a business advisor to the US Operations manager for the Artificial Lift product line.
Coordinate reporting and systems support for WFT US (OPS) and supporting cost centers.
Designing, reviewing and modifying the accounting system processes and procedures to ensure accuracy of data and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.
Review and summarize accounting data, identify and correct errors, apply accounting principles to transactions, and recommend revisions in regional accounting procedures.
Maintain reports for monthly reporting and analysis of variances. Ensure completion of reporting information in accordance with organizational deadlines.
Analyze, interpret, and communicates financial operating results to management.
Participate in the annual independent audit, including preparing any records required by the auditors.
Prepare materials for financial reviews.
Assist in the preparation of the budget and monthly forecast.
Conduct research of financial data and review accounting transactions.
Assist in the set-up and maintenance of US allocations.
Develop allocation reporting for US operations.
Analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual US operations financial information to ensure everything has been recorded accurately.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of oilfield service business, systems, processes, and structure.
Strong MS office skills.
Working knowledge of both GAAP and SOX requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
7+ years' experience as an accountant or analyst
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
Expert user of JDE, and strong knowledge of HFM (Hyperion), and Essbase is highly desired
Accounting/Finance experience within Artificial Lift or Pressure Pumping Services/Frac highly desired
Professional certification (CPA, etc.) and/or graduate degree given additional consideration
