Overview / Responsibilities


Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer.


The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the engineering flow diagrams, line classification list, equipment list, tie-in list, material requisition and bid conditioning for special items, according to the schedule of the activities established by the Project Manager, by following the established work instructions
  • Ensuring the contract requirements are implemented according to the established job specifications, standarts and work instructions
  • Administrating and monitoring of PED Directive application in accordance to the relevant work instruction
  • Defining the hazardous area classification
  • Coordination of engineering, drafting, procurement and planning activities
  • Monitoring/managing that all engineering activities are performed, timely, accurate, high in quality and cost effective
  • Liason with clients
  • Organizing and attending design and HSE reviews

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical and/or Chemical Engineering
  • Preferably 3-5 years experience in Engineering/Construction companies operating on industrial plants
  • Mining experience will be an asset
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Good computer knowledge as a user for MS Office software
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, able to work in a team
  • Problem solver, decision maker, innovative
  • No restriction for traveling
  • Completed military service for male applicants
