Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler Mining & Metals currently has an opportunity for an Interface Manager. Reporting to the Director of Operations of Mining & Metals, this position is located in our Oakville office. To manage the technical interfaces between Contractors and external suppliers of all systems which cross battery limits.


 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Interface Management Plan
  • Ensure interfaces are identified and documented
  • Attend or chair interface meetings
  • Responsible for all FEED internal and external interface matters
  • Establishment and follow-up of interface planning
  • Act as liaison (point of contact) between Amec Foster Wheeler's organization, other Project Contractors’ Interface Manager’s, and Client Interface Coordinators on all project related interface matters
  • Endorses and releases Interface Agreements
  • Responsible for interface documents, tasks, meetings and reports
  • Responsible for Interface Data Register and actions raised during external interface meetings
  • Responsible for Interface Document Register, keeps it up to date, verifies interface documents are issued according to schedule
  • Responsible for reviewing interface information and documents received from others and verifying all required information is provided
  • Responsible for transmitting external interface information and documents reviewed for other organizations and contractors to internal organizations and subcontractors as necessary
  • Secure agreements with major stakeholders (mineral resources, power, port, roads and telecommunications)
  • Regulatory and permitting process (other than construction related permits)

Skills / Qualifications

  • College diploma in related field
  • 10 years of experience in the Mining Industry
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant discipline(s)
