Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Pensions Administrator to work in our busy in-house pensions department, based in the Knutsford office.


Responsibilities to include:

  • Administer both final salary and money purchase schemes
  • Involvement in a range of projects, including the production of benefit statements, year-end reconciliations, valuations and pensions increases
  • Work effectively with colleagues to provide a full administration service
  • Completing retirement quotes
  • Resolving queries from schemes members and ensuring payments are received accurately 
  • Process new entrants, renewals, leavers and deaths
  • Draft routine correspondence, transfers in and out, pensions increases and liaising with third parties
  • Ensure smooth running of the pensions schemes


Skills / Qualifications

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above
  • Knowledge of final salary and money purchase schemes 
  • Previous pensions experience within both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution sector
  • Be able to prioritise workload to ensure Service Level Agreements and quality levels are maintained
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office
  • Accurate communication skills are essential
  • An understanding of pensions industry regulations and current legislation
  • Confident with working in a high-pressured environment
