Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Storesperson for the Transmission and Distribution business on the Cable Expansion Programme for Virgin Media, based in Warrington .



  • Responsible for all project stores activities to support execution of project schedules
  • This shall include ensuring databases are updated; materials are receipted, stored appropriately, bagged, tagged and issued in accordance with Company policies, procedures and in compliance with all HSSE and any legislative requirement
  • Inventory management and reconciliation
  • Efficient and effective control of all materials to suit project requirements
  • Management of all materials in accordance with relevant Company policies, procedures and project schedules
  • Verification and receipt of all project material in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Report any material delivery OSD’s (Overage/Shortage/Damages)
  • Allocation of bin location and storage of project materials and update of systems accordingly
  • Bagging, tagging and containerisation of all construction materials in accordance with project schedule
  • Inventory Management, e.g. check stock levels, replenishment
  • Ensure all Warehouse operations are conducted safely, implementing all Company / project / regulatory, policies and procedures e.g. Manual Handling, Forklift Operations
  • House-keeping
  • Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment within project team

Skills / Qualifications


  • Goods In/Goods Out/Stores Experience

  • CPCS

  • EUSR Safety Passport

  • D&A Test in last 2 years

  • Telehandler and attachments

  • FLT License - Counter Balance and Reach 

  • IT Literate and use of Microsoft Office suite of packages would be advantageous
