Overview / Responsibilities
Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Environment and Infrastructure business, working in Gosforth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing engineering consultancy team, who work closely with both clients and colleagues from other engineering disciplines. Your key focus will be on water, wastewater and industrial projects, working both on client sites and in the Amec Foster Wheeler office.
Typical duties will include carrying out concept and detailed design, preparing design calculations, preparing drawings and specifications and assisting with project delivery. You will also be involved in
client liaison, technical management, co-ordinating engineering output and input on projects from environmental specialists and ensuring the quality of civil engineering.
Skills / Qualifications
- BEng / MEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
- You will ideally be a Chartered Engineer, or close to achieving chartered status
- An excellent track record in project and client management and the design and delivery of water or industrial projects
- Experience of working with environmental specialists and as part of multi-disciplinary engineering teams would be helpful
