Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently seeking a Project Manager to provide overall project management and direction on a large multi-million dollar Design-Build project located in Guam. Responsible for the management of all Client requirements, project deliverables, and project quality, schedule and cost. This position will involve assignment to Guam.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all project management activities inclusive of coordinating, Production, Quality Control, Health and Safety, and third-country national support staff
  • Manage multiple subcontractors
  • Generate internal and external project reports
  • Insure that project schedule is maintained and updated
  • Review invoices and track billings
  • Coordinate with Navy to effectively manage schedule and construction
  • Communicate effectively with U.S. DoD and Local National clients and multi-cultural staff and subcontractors 

Skills / Qualifications

  • 10+ Years experience managing construction projects, including at least 5 years as Project Manager
  • International experience specifically in Southwest Asia is a plus, U.S. DoD construction experience is preferred
  • Engineering or Equivalent Construction Management Degree required
  • Experience in vertical construction and site utilities a must
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and leadership skills, especially related to managing international teams and field crews
  • Strong ability to independently lead project team
  • Must have a solid understanding of design-build including managing the development of plans and specifications, subcontractor and material procurement, construction execution and building commissioning
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills (English) required
  • Must be US Citizen or have valid work permit for Guam
