Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is seeking a CVQ Project Manager in the New Jersey, New York or Pennsylvania area. The chosen individual must work with client and internal customers to ensure adequate validation resources are available, projects are properly budgeted, scheduled, and achieve Amec Foster Wheeler’s Quality, Safety, Schedule, and Commercial requirements.


Key Responsibilities


This position involves:

  • Managing direct reports
  • Managing projects for the Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation group including:
    • Serving as the client and AFW point of contact
    • Serving as the project Subject Matter Expert
    • Executing project deliverables in accordance with the final project scope, schedule, and budget
    • Project staffing and workload assignment
    • Managing the project budget, schedule, and scope
    • Providing updates to the CQV earned value schedule and ensuring project productivity and efficiency
    • Providing project status reports

Skills / Qualifications

  • BS Engineering preferred or other life sciences
  • Previous engineering, validation, and management experience a must; Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Qualified candidates will have the following skills:
    • Understanding of pharmaceutical unit operations/processes
    • Thorough knowledge of cGMP requirements including US and EU
    • Ability to write, execute, and direct commissioning, qualification, validation protocols
    • Ability to budget/schedule projects
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong communication skill, written and verbal
    • Ability to adapt to changing project needs
    • Ability to handle numerous situations simultaneously
    • Ability to manage people including direct reports
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA for any employer other than current employer
