Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently looking for an Operations Coordinator for a 12 month fixed term staff position based on Red Barnes Way, Darlington.


Description of services to be provided: 

  • To provide administrative assistance and support to Integrity+ Operations

Key aims: 

  • To provide high quality general administrative support to project team members as required
  • To perform all required tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures, and specifications

Responsibilities and duties: 

  • Read, understand and adhere to all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the administrative workscope is completed to a high standard
  • Assist with data collection and input from ongoing projects to ensure compliance with external accreditations
  • Occasional travel to sites throughout the UK with the management team to secure new projects, develop existing projects, and build strong professional working relationships with project personnel
  • Day to day operation, control, and development of the integrity+ personnel database to ensure certification is current and in line with project requirements
  • Provide document management services as required, including filing, retrieval revision updates etc
  • Assist with promoting the business through both internal and external media to raise our profile/create awareness of current operations and news
  • Provision of general administrative assistance to project management/team members including photo-copying, filing, production of reports and presentations in line with guidance from operations managers
  • To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule
  • To ensure all that all workscope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment

Skills / Qualifications




  • Demonstrable experience in similar role
  • Good understanding of office administration processes and practices
  • Computer literate in standard software packages (Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc)


  • Oil and gas experience


Qualifications and Training -



  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • IT literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Good educational background (O'level / highers)


  • Technical qualification (NVQ, C&G, SVQ)
