Job Purpose:

This position is part of the Compliance Team responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations while identifying and mitigating risks related to the Company's assets. It assists activities in the regulatory compliance functions, including but not limited to the following: DOT pipeline safety, incident investigation, management of change processing and coordination of manual reviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Evaluates and makes recommendations for the Regulatory compliance functions including but not limited to permits and regulatory compliance monitoring while adhering to local, state and federal regulations

Ongoing compliance with regards to Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (DOT/PHMSA), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LADNR)

Responsible for supporting all Company operations in managing the California State Fire Marshal (CSFM) requirements

Assists and supports audits to ensure compliance

Interface with governmental agencies

Assist with the upkeep of permits, business plans and filing of regulatory reports

Responsible for up-to-date information on local, state, and federal regulators, issues and current technologies; interprets and communicates existing and proposed regulations and requirements

Support the development and design of operating requirements of pipeline facilities to ensure compliance with regulations

Analyze, interpret, establish and administer regulatory policies for pipeline operations

Contact for inquiries, issues and audits related to regulations in support of regulatory compliance requirements

Education and Basic Requirements

B. S. in Business or related field

Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance, as it relates to the HAZMAT Liquid Pipeline Industry with 3-5 years of experience

Experience and Job Skills

Working knowledge of DOT, PHMSA, BLM, BSEE and LADNR requirements

Proficient in MS Office and MS Projects

Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations and project plans that secure the continuing safe and compliant operation of the business

Excellent interpersonal skills (training, presentation, team collaboration and communication), with the ability to influence others

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must be able to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol pre-employment and ongoing screening
