~~Reporting to the Sales Manager, North Sea you will have overall responsibility for all sales deliverables including new business development as well as maximising relationships and revenue within existing customers. You will utilise your sales management skills to improve performance in order to achieve business targets within the Norwegian drilling arena. As the Sales Manager, Norway you will develop and implement action plans, maximise sales revenue (in line with regional turnover and operating profit targets) and demonstrate commitment to surpass internal and external customers' expectations. Your existing technical understanding of solids control and waste management or drilling fluids products will act as a foundation to you developing critical product knowledge in line with our business strategy and will be key to your success in maximising Operators and Drilling Contractor relationships. Crucial to this role will be your ability to drive continual improvement processes, enhancing your sales performance and capabilities and together with your exceptional appreciation of the commercial implications you will have success in turning customer-driven requirements into profitable solutions. • Development of new business opportunities for NOV Drilling Fluids, Solids Control and Waste Management products, qualifying the needs of potential customers and converting into profitable sales orders
• Engage in a variety of tasks including strategic planning, negotiation and project coordination for the client and company
• Align NOV's technology strategy with current and future business strategies of existing and new customers
• Maintain strong business relationships with existing customers whilst maximising and realising increase in revenue potential
• Full understand of existing competitive technology and market pressures, identifying areas for product development ensuring NOV is at the forefront of the market
• Engage in a variety of tasks including strategic planning, negotiation and project coordination for the client and company
• Provide monthly / quarterly forecasting figures for Norway Operations Manager and North Sea Sales Manager
• Support, guide and maximise relationships with existing Oil and Gas Operators and Drilling Contractors
• Providing regular market intelligence and forecast information within Norway
• Understand our Global and EHO strategy, devising country strategy in collaboration to meet agreed targets
• Meet region sales revenue forecasts
• Understand our customers buying patterns, providing reactive and proactive customer support
• Evaluate and improve sales processes in line with customer buying processes
• Create monthly/quarterly sales and activity plans to present to key stakeholders of the business
• Monitor customer issues, feedback, deadlines and deliverables and ensure customer issues are handled effectively and quickly
• Effective management of sales pipeline to ensure accurate revenue forecasting
• Furnish customers with quotations as per enquiry in assistance with inside sales and maintain communication and follow ups relating to each quotation and / or invoice
• Perform Visual Compliance Screenings as per NOV Trade Compliance Policy.
• Liaising with Logistics and warehousing on client's delivery and documentation requirements
• Interact effectively within the wider NOV organisation to resolve commercial and technical issues
• Assist with building customer profiles; identifying key decision-makers and buyers
• Assist with annual budget reports and statistics
• Interact and coordinate with the North Sea sales team and other staff members in other departments
• Oversee/manage any commercial changes to an order and communication of the same to the Customer
• The collating and issuing of status reports for both internal and external use and holding conference calls, where required
• Work closely with stakeholders in refining sales skills fulfilling strategies to drive results
• Travel (intercompany and client visits) as and when required
• Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

 • Degree in Engineering • Tertiary education in an Engineering  and or Business discipline

• Experience in a similar position
• Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Operational, Business and/ or Sales environment
• Ability to create and track individual and metrics
• Working knowledge of  Drilling Fluids, Solids Control and Waste Management Field Experience
• Working knowledge of compiling technical and commercial proposals
 • Working knowledge of engineering within Drill String Products
