Position Summary

Responsible for managing the Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) projects and working closely with clients pertaining to the execution and completion of assigned work scopes. Monitors cost and assists in the determination of resources.

Duties & Responsibilities

Daily Tasks:

  • Contact each ROV system
  • Go over problems and issues
  • Discuss the scheduled day’s events
  • Discuss parts on order for urgency
  • Give advice on Stop / Observations
  • Update on any required reports
  • Talk about upcoming crew planning
  • Talk about upcoming work
  • Address daily issues and lend assistance and ideas to problems crew may be facing.
  • Discuss crew’s safety routines and discuss their STOP and Observation cards. Provide ideas so they will make this routine in daily work.
  • Check for trends and take the time to make sure crew has all the training required to get STOP process and observation cards done properly.
  • Plan crew change events and give plenty of notice to the Logistics Coordinators in order to save on costs for preplanned flights and hotels, and to address personnel coordination issues.
  • Check on equipment and parts movements

Weekly Tasks:

  • System Status Sheets
  • Discuss audit actions and prioritize with each system
  • Go through and redline STOP/Observation cards – send to systems
  • Operations meeting
  • Discuss crew evaluations and plan enhancements with system supervisors
  • Check Gamma to make sure systems are current on maintenance
  • Go through and close out open MKS tickets
  • Have some type of client interface (minimum weekly)
  • Call on crew members getting ready to come back to work before crew change
  • Work on any HSE issues (Incident reports, Tap Roots, Near Hits)

Monthly Tasks:

  • Send all audit action updates to Audit department
  • Match all reports for downtime percentage
  • Be sure all NPT and EFR reports have completed and turned in
  • Run all encompass reports for KPI’s
  • Work on DSO’s with clients
  • Close out any HSE issues ( incident reports, Tap Roots, Near hits )
  • Adjust Emergency Response list if required
  • Competency program


  • Customer assessment/interview
  • ¿ Visit Customers every quarter at a minimum to have a serious sit down conversation about the operation. Discuss the client’s perception of all OII processes offshore as well as management.

  • Request and turn in USR’s (Quarterly)


Education and/or Experience

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of ROV experience to include at least two years of Administrative, Office, project manager, or Operations Management; or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
