Duties & Responsibilities

Performs receiving inspection ofincoming items and associated documentation against Purchase Order requirements, using Receiving Inspection Checklists, noting any discrepancies and/or process for Stores.

Analyzes supplier provided inspection and test data for compliance to requirements.

Enters receiving inspection data per procedures into company ERP database and processes completed Purchase Orders for records and invoice payment.

Supports buy off ofparts issuance from Stores and shipping activities when requested.

Supports Metrology Coordinator for processing of Measuring and Test Equipment calibration services.

Performs receiving inspection of Electrical and Electromechanical Components and Assemblies while taking ESD precautions per internalprocedures in certified ESD station.

Reviews drawings and specifications and uses measuring and test equipment to determine product acceptability.

Documents issues on NCR’s (Nonconformance Reports) for all product that doesn’t meet the stated requirements and coordinates with others for resolution.

Verifies incoming materials meet procurement order requirements before release to production.

Performs in-process inspection during manufacturing and testing phases, and final inspections prior to shipping.

Carries out inspection and test activities as required by Quality Plans, FAT(s) (Factory Acceptances Testing), customer and or stated requirements.

Identifies and maintains inspection and test status as needed.

Maintains inspection and test records as required.

Works as a team member when performing or witnessing inspections and/or testing for internal and external customers, third parties, customer’s inspectors, and engineering/manufacturing representative.

Analyzes supplier provided inspection and test data for compliance to requirements.

Helps develop and improve Quality System procedures, work instructions, flow charts and associated process improvements.

Takes all requiredtraining required for thfor the e position in a timely fashion. Maintains training cards and other records.


High School Diploma or G.E.D or equivalent is required.

At least 3 years’ experience performing Receiving Inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Quality Management System procedures derived from ISO 9000 is a plus. In addition, candidates with experience with dimensional and mechanical inspection, using calibrated inspection equipment preferred.

Candidates must be detail oriented and must be able to multi-task. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to read engineering, manufacturing and industry specifications and standards and assess compliance to stated requirements. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical machine part and assembly level drawings which include all levels of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;). Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong skillsin using computer programs such as Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. No programing skills required.

The position is mayrequires occasionally working outdoors, in high humidity and temperature conditions. The employee may occasionally be around loud noise, over 85 decibels. Frequently the employee will be required to move parts and/or equipment as needed to process incoming items.
