Position Summary

Expectation of this function requires strict attention to detail, clear communication and participation in cross functional teams.Technical knowledge of contract and subcontract management is expected to be broad and deep enough to identify areas of concern and propose solutions to internal teams. Possess ability to work as part of a team of project and technical personnel. Good organizational skills with an analytical / logical approach. Able to collect information and solve problems of medium complexity relating to assigned projects in an unsupervised fashion.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports the Contracts Department in performance of Contract Management duties, including:

  • Follows policy and procedures for the Contracts Department

  • Ensures compliance with contract requirements, including deliverables and milestones

  • Complies with policies and procedures as required and as identified by Company Legal, Tax, Finance, Human Resources, Export/Compliance and Insurance Departments on respective issues

  • Provides contracts advice and support to the Contracts Manager, Project Managers and Division department managers of OES

  • Identification and communication of all contract change orders/contract claims in support of the Project Manager and Contracts Manager

  • As directed by the Contracts Manager, interface with the Subcontractor Management, Supply Chain Management and Quality ManagementDepartments to ensure overall project and Company compliance

  • As directed by the Contracts Supervisor, assist the Subcontractor Management Department, including:

  • Coordination of subcontracts, and administration for all subcontracts necessary for the support of existing Customer contracts and new Customer proposals/contracts

  • Develops subcontractor work statements, specifications and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services

  • Ensures subcontractor compliance with policy and requirements from Company Legal, Tax, Finance, Human Resources, Export/Compliance and Insurance Departments on respective issues

  • Other duties assigned at the Division level, including, but not limited to Health, Safety and Environmental programs, Quality Management Systems, and cross-departmental process development

  • Maintain contract files and Department databases

  • Report to, and seek advisement from, Contracts Manager


  • B.S. or B.A. required, advanced degree a plus
  • Two years of contracts administration and/or business administration experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of contracts administration, subcontract administration and related disciplines
  • Familiarity with financial and accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills required
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with all levels of the Company and subcontractor organizations
  • Experience in Theme Park industry a strong plus
  • Candidate will have to perform in an ISO-9000 rated company in a rapidly changing and demanding atmosphere
  • Legal employment within the U.S. is required
  • Periodic U.S. and international travel may be required

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Peoplesoftknowledgepreferred.
