Responsibilities:

Charged with the overall responsibility of all projects at a specific site by coordinating and scheduling in conjunction with a client representative and the Brinderson Planning Department. Project Managers have a minimum of 10 years of experience, and progressively more responsible experience in petrochemical plants. At a minimum, 6 years of experience required in various supervisory positions. Directs General Foreman and supervisors in execution of major job requirements. Directs purchasing, subcontracting and administration in support of job requirements. Interacts with Brinderson Health & Safety Department and client Fire & Safety Representatives to ensure a safe work site and monitors proper compliance with all regulatory requirements

 

 

  • Coordinates Turnaround scheduling and communication and acts as a liaison to client concerning bids, subcontracting, progress and delays. Responsible for assisting project management with estimates, schedules, and materials
  • Requires basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA safe work practices
  • Responsible for receiving and management of project equipment and materials
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
  • Supervises the installation of project equipment and components
  • Requires minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of industrial Turnaround management
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within industrial Turnaround management
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Inspects and reviews projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
  • Position reports directly to project management
  • Plans, organizes, and directs activities concerned with the Turnaround and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
  • Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and Turnaround problems
  • Investigates incidents, accidents, or delays at Turnaround sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
  • Directs, supervises, and coordinates Turnaround activities including safety, HSSE compliance, and productivity on Turnaround site
  • Prepares and submits project progress tracking reports
  • Develops and implements quality control programs
  • Takes action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at Turnaround site
  • Evaluates Turnaround methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computers
  • Requires basic computer skills including proficiency in MS office programs including Primavera
  • Responsible for coordinating project field activities with plant operations and maintenance


Qualifications:

 

  • Min. 7-10 years experience managing managing mid to large size refinery turnarounds
  • A strong field presence is mandatory
  • Experience collaborating with supervisory staff, owners, contractors, and engineering professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures and construction problems
  • Needs to have strong leadership and communications skills
  • Must be familiar with MS Project and/or P6
