Saipem Secures More Work in Saudi Arabia, West Africa

Saipem has been awarded a new services contract by Saudi Aramco for Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) activities in Saudi Arabia.

The deal comes as part of a Long Term Agreement, which was renewed in 2015 until 2021. The contract’s main scope of work includes the engineering, procurement and construction of a new 42” offshore pipeline, replacing an existing one, and other miscellaneous activities for the upgrade of the Manifa water injection system. Saipem has also been assigned additional works for previously awarded projects in West Africa.

The total value of these new awards is approximately $400 million, Saipem said in a company statement.

Earlier this month, Saipem announced that it has secured new onshore service contracts in Saudi Arabia and Mexico, and additional works of existing contracts in Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan, for a total value of approximately $1 billion.
