ATP O&G has commenced production at its Mississippi Canyon Block 941 No. 3 well on the Mirage field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The well, the second one brought on production at the Telemark Hub, is flowing at a rate of 7,000 boepd. When drilled, the well encountered four Miocene sands totaling 266 feet (81 meters) of pay, and it completed at a measured depth of 16,300 feet (4,968 meters) in two of the discovered sands. Plans are to commingle production from the two completed sands. As per BOEM guidelines, ATP will rename the well as MC 941 A-1. ATP operates the deepwater Telemark Hub in approximately 4,000 feet (1,219 meters) of water with a 100% working interest.
