T.D. Williamson Welcomes VP - Eastern Hemisphere
T.D. Williamson announced that Bruce Thames has been promoted to the position of Vice President – Eastern Hemisphere. In his new role, Thames has full profit and loss responsibility for all product and service lines and oversees operations, marketing and financial management of the company throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Thames has 21 years experience serving the international oil and gas industry. He has a strong operating background and disciplined approach to management, with particular emphasis on engineering, product development, operations and market development.
"With the overall aim of becoming the leading solutions provider across the breadth of TDW's product and service offerings, I look forward to developing 'partner of choice' relationships with customers throughout the region," said Thames. "We will be working hard to expand the geographical footprint of the business to reach underserved markets across the Eastern Hemisphere, with a focus on Africa, Asia and the Caspian region," he added.
Prior to his promotion, Thames, 47, served as Vice President – North America during which time he was instrumental in growing the company's business and expanding its network of service operations while more than doubling manufacturing capacity. Prior to joining TDW in 2005, Thames served as Product Director for Dresser Flow Solutions and as General Manager of Texsteam/Tom Wheatley in Houston, Texas.
A native of Spring, Texas, Thames holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas. A Six Sigma Black Belt, Thames is also a member of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America and Tulsa Pipeliners Club. Now based at the company's regional headquarters in Nivelles, Belgium, Thames reports to Bruce Binkley, President and Chief Executive Officer of TDW, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
