ConocoPhillips to Carry Out Manned Underwater Ops at Ekofisk Field

ConocoPhillips Scandinavia AS (COPSAS) has received consent to perform manned underwater operations on the Ekofisk field after detecting a blockage of the water stream in the P2033 and P2049 pipelines. The consent relates to diving work in correlation with the company's 2/4VA SSWI water injection project 2010. The divers will remove any objects preventing water flow, and then reattach the flanges using a hydraulic jack tool. Ekofisk is located on Blocks 2/4 and 2/7 about 200 miles (322 kilometers) southwest of Stavanger. The complex is operated by ConocoPhillips.
