IOS InterMoor has been awarded a global mooring frame agreement by Statoil. The three year contract for mooring services also has an option to extend the agreement for up to two periods of one year each.
IOS InterMoor's scope of work includes providing high quality mooring equipment, personnel and technical support for offshore operations to Statoil's rig fleet in Norway and internationally.
IOS InterMoor (formerly IOS Offshore) has been a mooring supplier to Statoil for nearly 25 years. The companies have worked together establishing innovative mooring solutions and safe procedures for handling and deploying mooring equipment. "IOS InterMoor is very proud to sign this frame agreement with Statoil, which will now give both parties an excellent basis to work together for continued mutual success," said IOS InterMoor AS Managing Director David Smith.
IOS InterMoor's support to rigs working for Statoil on the Norwegian Continental Shelf will be provided from Stavanger, Bergen and Kristiansund, three of IOS InterMoor's bases. The contract also includes support of international activity and IOS InterMoor's first rig mooring project overseas for Statoil begins in Canada next year. "By being part of the global InterMoor team, IOS InterMoor has access to the largest network of established bases for supplying mooring equipment in all major offshore markets worldwide," added Smith.
