Dalsnuten Exploration Drilling Begins



Exploratory drilling has commenced on the Dalsnuten prospect (exploration well 6603/5-1S), situated in Production License 392. The exploratory well, positioned in waters measuring 4,429 to 4,921 feet (1,350 to 1,500 meters), will test new exploration models in the Voring Basin, located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Shell, operator of the license, is using the Aker Barents semisub for the drilling operation.
