National Weather Service Issues Storm Warning for Gulf

(Dow Jones Newswires), Aug. 11, 2010

The National Weather Service on Wednesday issued a tropical storm warning along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico from Florida to Louisiana for a system currently known as Tropical Depression Five. The storm's maximum sustained winds are blowing at 30 miles per hour. Rain accumulations of three to five inches with isolated maximum amounts of eight inches are possible. The storm is expected to hit land after midnight on Friday.
