Chevron Evacuates Nonessential Workers from GOM

Chevron said it was evacuating nonessential workers from its GOM operations ahead of Tropical Storm Bonnie.

"As a precaution, we are evacuating non-essential personnel from our operations," said company spokesman Mickey Driver. "We have no production currently to shut in.

It is forecasted that the storm will approach the Gulf Coast late Saturday or early Sunday.
