Fugro Bags Diving Contract in Brazil
Fugro has been awarded a long term diving contract by Otto Candies for Petrobras in Brazil. The three party-contract has a value for Fugro of approximately USD 100 million, involving ROV and diving services. Otto Candies is providing the Diving Support Vessel (DSV) and the contract will be managed jointly. It is a 5-year contract with an additional 5-year option, with operations commencing mid 2011.
The brand new vessel Kelly Ann is being mobilized at Candies shipyard in the USA with a 14 man - 300m rated saturation diving system, a work class ROV (FCV 3000) and an observation ROV (Lynx), and will work for Petrobras offshore Brazil 24 hours, 7 days a week. The vessel will be engaged with Inspection Repair and Maintenance activities along the Brazilian coast. This project consolidates Fugro's position as a leading diving operator in Brazil.
