AWE Suspends Tui SW-2 as Gas Injector

AWE Limited has suspended the Tui SW-2 exploration well as a future gas injector. A 7-inch liner was run and cemented, and the well was suspended. The rig, Kan Tan IV semisub, will now move to the Kahu-1 location, about 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) east of the Tui oil field. The prospect is located in mining license PMP 38158 offshore Taranaki Basin, and is adjacent to the producing Tui oil field. AWE serves as the operator of the license, holding a 42.5%.
