PGS Completes Crystal III Survey in GOM
PGS recently completed the Crystal III survey in the Western Gulf of Mexico. using state-of-the-art Wide Azimuth Towed Streamer (WATS) Technology. This survey covers 485 deepwater OCS blocks (11,300sqkm).
"Initial data quality is extremely promising and we believe that the program will deliver on its promise of a step-change in imaging quality necessary to unlock the Miocene and Lower Paleogene sub-Salt potential in the East Breaks area," said Nathan Oliver Regional President MultiClient NSA.
A combination of PGS' proprietary hyperBeam velocity modeling capability and TTI RTM imaging will be applied with the data available towards the end of 2010.
