Titan Specialties Acquires Kesh Downhole Measurements

Titan Specialties has announced its acquisition of Kesh Downhole Measurements Inc. on May 1, 2010. The Alberta-based company will operate under the name Titan Specialties, ULC.

In addition to the cased-hole logging and measurement-while- drilling (MWD) Gamma business acquired from Kesh, Titan Specialties, ULC will also carry a full range of perforating guns and associated hardware, addressable and select fire perforating switches, and setting tools, and will be the distributor for Guardian Global products in Canada.

Kevin Montpetit, owner of Kesh, will join the company as Canada Regional Manager.

"Canada has been a growing area of importance for Titan, and this acquisition will better enable us to provide our growing selection of tools and technology to our customers in the region," said Ken Babcock, Titan chief executive officer. "Kevin brings an excellent level of experience in the industry and knowledge of the region to help lead our efforts there."

The company is in the process of relocating to a larger facility in the Edmonton area to accommodate the expanded operations and inventory.
