Signal Names New VP of Strategic Planning
Signal International has named Carl F. Wegener as Vice President of Strategic Planning, and Joe Mayhall as Director of Sales and Marketing for their Signal Ship Repair division. Both men will be based at the corporate office in Mobile, AL.
Mr. Wegener has over 20 years experience in the marine industry and will oversee the Company's efforts towards future growth and diversification. Before joining Signal, Wegener served as the east/gulf coast manager for Kvichak Marine Industries; and worked as the commercial sales manager at Austal.
Mr. Mayhall will be responsible for the development of new construction vessel sales for Signal International's Orange Texas facility and manage the sales efforts for Signal Ship Repair in Mobile. Mr. Mayhall has extensive experience in the shipbuilding and repair industry. He previously worked for Bender Shipbuilding and Repair.
Commenting on the addition of Wegener to Signal's management team, Dick Marler, President and Chief Executive Officer said, "We are fortunate to have someone of Carl's experience and talent step into this new position at Signal. He will be a strong asset to the Signal team and his leadership will play an important role in our future growth and diversification strategy. We were also pleased that Joe Mayhall has remained with our company. His experience in both new construction and ship overhaul and repair match the overall direction of Signal."
