Husky Turns On Taps at North Amethyst Field
Oil production has commenced from the North Amethyst field offshore Newfoundland & Labrador. North Amethyst is the first satellite field development at the White Rose project and is also the first subsea tie-back project in Canada. The subsea wells in the North Amethyst drill center will be tied-back to the SeaRose FPSO through flexible flowlines, which is moored about 4 miles (6 kilometers) away from the North Amethyst field. Production from the field should rise to a peak of approximately 37,000 bopd as the remaining wells are drilled and brought on line. Husky is the operator, holding a 68.9% interest.SubseaIQ provides focused, in-depth coverage of offshore field development activities around the world, with daily updates on hundreds of offshore fields and facilities.
