(Dow Jones Newswires), May 28, 2010

BP has suspended its "top kill" effort to plug the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico for the second time in two days, the New York Times reports, citing a technician involved with the effort. The company suspended the pumping operations at 2:30 Friday morning after two "junk shot" attempts. Neither the company nor authorities announced the suspension.
