A significant new industrial distribution group operating from bases in Great Yarmouth and Aberdeen has been created by the merger of three well-known and long-established firms supplying the oil, gas and renewable industries.
The OAASIS Group has been formed as a result of the merger of Outland Safety & Industrial Products Limited, Atlas Industrial & Marine Supply Limited and Annasbrook Supply Company Limited.
Financial and operational integration has already begun with the process expected to be completed by the end of the year.
In Aberdeen, Atlas currently operates from premises in East Tullos. Following the merger these will be upgraded and extended to accommodate the rest of the group. Likewise, in Great Yarmouth, a new 3.3 acre site is being developed to house all three businesses – which currently operate from separate premises in the area.
Group turnover is forecast at £12million for the first financial year, utilizing an inventory of approximately £1million, with 30,000 line items. These include own brand personal protection equipment, work wear with the Traverse label and a working at height system branded Hi-Line Tools.
The Directors of OAASIS Group believe that the combination of the three distinctive businesses, each with their own areas of expertise and experience, will create a group which is able to deliver to its customers enhanced levels of availability, service and competitiveness.
