Titan Torque Services has invested £250,000 in new equipment at its Aberdeen facility.

Titan Torque, which provides pre-made drilling assemblies and innovative drill bit protection equipment for the oil and gas industry, will now be able to offer a full suite of bottom-hole assembly, casing and completion services to North Sea clients.

It is the latest boost for the company, which was formed in 2008, following on from its nomination in the Wood Group Award for Innovation category at this year's Grampian Business Awards.

Managing Director Keith Gaskin said, "We have been in business for less than two years but we are already providing services to most North Sea operators. We are looking to build on that track record and extend our customer portfolio both in the North Sea and internationally.

"The investment in a fully rotational 22-inch torque unit with turning capabilities will expand the services on offer to our clients."
