Seneca Begins Production from Two GOM Wells

Seneca Resources said initial production from its High island Block A-345 came onstream November 1st. The discovery well was drilled in August of this year. The well has 120 feet of net natural gas pay and is currently producing 15 million cubic feet (Mmcf) per day. Seneca owns a 100 percent working interest in the well.

The second new completion is located on High Island Block 37. The well was drilled by Unocal and encountered 55 feet of net natural gas pay. Production from this well began in October 2003 and it is currently producing 25 Mmcf per day. Seneca has a 25 percent working interest in this well. Other working interest owners are Unocal Corporation with 36 percent, Fidelity Exploration and Production Company with 25 percent, and William G. Helis with 14 percent.
