Expro Says Hello to New COO
Expro has named Chris Mawtus as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Chris is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company throughout the world, overseeing activities in Expro's regions of North America, the Middle East & North Africa, Asia, Europe CIS, Latin America and Southern & West Africa.
Chris, who will be based in the UK, reports directly to Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Graeme Coutts.
Graeme said, "Chris Mawtus is an incredibly talented and driven individual who has built a great reputation around delivering results. These attributes, combined with his impressive track record, make him the ideal COO. Expro will benefit greatly from his experience and expertise."
Prior to being named COO, Chris was president of Expro North America, based in Houston. While in North America, Chris directed a major re-organization that created two distinct areas of focus for Expro's business: Land and Offshore. From there, he structured the businesses so they were managed geographically, which involved moving managers closer to customers.
Chris joined Expro in 1990 as a Drill Stem Test (DST) development engineer. Since then, he has held a variety of senior management positions in technical and commercial operations with Expro in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. He has served as region director across many of Expro's regions.
"Being appointed COO of Expro is an honor and a huge opportunity for me," Chris said.
"Expro has built its reputation as an innovative service provider with a talented, well-trained workforce and a strong product portfolio. I look forward to building on these strengths while remaining focused on quality and safety as essential building blocks for continued success."
