Canadian Superior Energy Secures Rig Offshore Tunisia
Canadian Superior signed an Assignment and Transfer Agreement with BG Tunisia Limited and ENSCO Offshore International Company for the use of the ENSCO 105 jackup. The rig has been on location in the Mediterranean Sea for a couple of years in contract with BG. It is anticipated Canadian Superior will possess the rig in the 4th quarter of 2010 to drill the Zarat North appraisal well on the 7th of November Block, located offshore Tunisia/Libya. The appraisal well will be drilled to about 9,843 feet (3,000 meters) to test the El Gueria formation, and should take roughly 45 days to drill and evaluate with a possible testing program to follow.
