Centrica Gets Green Light to Drill North Sea Well

Centrica Energi was granted approval to conduct exploratory drilling using the West Alpha semisub in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. The consent is for the drilling of well 6407/12-3 in Production License 470 in 945 feet (288 meters) of water. Drilling is expected to start in April/May 2010 and last for about 20 days. Centrica operates the license, holding a 50% interest; Bayerngas Norge holds the other 50% interest.
