Castrol Unveils Virtual Resource for Marine Industry

Marine lubricant specialist Castrol Marine has launched an interactive online tool to help customers optimize their lubricants and related services knowledge.

Created using state-of-the-art digital modelling techniques, Virtual Vessel provides detailed lubricant information to a global audience and represents a valuable new information source for the shipping industry.

Paul Lowther, Global Marketing Communications Manager for Castrol Marine Aviation & Energy Lubricants, said, "We want to make choosing the right marine lubricant as simple as possible for our customers, which is why we invest heavily in research and development to ensure our products deliver performance on which the industry can depend. Virtual Vessel provides a window into the expertise behind the performance."

Interactive vessels, including general cargo vessels, tankers and ro-ro ferries, allow users to identify detailed information on Castrol products according to their various applications around the vessel in a clear and easy to navigate format.

The interactive resource will give customers an innovative insight into the applications of Castrol's marine lubricants. The tool will also be available via touch screen at Castrol Marine's forthcoming conferences and exhibitions.
