Salamander Moves on from Thailand Well
Salamander Energy provided an operational update on the Phu Kheng-1 well in block L27/43, Khorat Basin, onshore Northeast Thailand, in which it holds a 27.2 percent interest.
The Operator of L27/43 completed a frac-test on a five meter zone between 623 and 628 meters true vertical depth sub-sea. Despite the presence of gas saturation and porosity as determined from logs, the targeted sandstone interval failed to flow after the frac operation. The L27/43 partners have decided to plug and abandon the well.
