Total Taps FMC for Laggan-Tormore Equipment
FMC Technologies received a $210 million contract to manufacture and supply subsea production equipment to support the Laggan-Tormore development. FMC's scope of work includes the manufacture of nine subsea trees, eight wellheads and two six-slot manifolds, and the company will also provide 12 multiphase meters, 10 subsea control modules and associated control systems. Delivery of the equipment is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2011. The Laggan and Tormore gas fields are located on Blocks 206/1a, 205/5a and 205/4b in waters measuring 1,969 feet (600 meters), roughly 87 miles (140 kilometers) northwest of the Shetland Islands.
