Seadrill to List Shares on NYSE
Seadrill announced that the registration by the Company with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to become a reporting company has been completed and that the Company has been approved for listing of its common shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The common shares will be listed on the NYSE under the symbol "SDRL" and trading is expected to begin on Thursday April 15, 2010.
John Fredriksen, President and Chairman, Seadrill, commented, "Since its incorporation in 2005, Seadrill has had the ambition to list on the New York Stock Exchange. We have over the last years built one of the largest offshore drilling companies and the listing marks an important milestone in the development of our Company."
