AWE reported that during the week, drill-stem testing (DST) continued over the interval 3,125 to 3,660 meters in the Al Meashar-1 well in Yemen.
At the end of this test, a production logging tool was run. Preliminary interpretation of this log indicates that oil flow was obtained from both above and within the basement section. Flow rates averaged approximately 400 barrels of oil and mud per day and periodically tested higher. The well did not clean up during this test.
The forward program is to carry out a second DST, covering the basement section only.
