New President of European Ops Flies High at CHC
Leading international helicopter services provider CHC has announced Tilmann Gabriel as President of the organization's European Operations.
He succeeds present European Managing Director Scott Pinfield at the helm of the company's operations in the UK, Norway, Ireland, the Netherlands and Denmark.
Tilmann Gabriel joins CHC from the Afghan International Airline Safi Airways, where he was President and Chief Executive Officer. He is based at CHC’s European HQ in Aberdeen, Scotland.
With many years experience working internationally within the aviation industry, Gabriel is looking forward to his new challenge: "After 35 years in the airline and business aircraft industry, I am delighted to become part of a team of leaders with a passion for exceeding customer expectations and the creative mindset to adapt to the ever-changing conditions of our industry and macroeconomic effects that drive our success.
"I am looking to oversee the development and implementation of a long-term strategy of commercial growth based on safety, operational excellence and customer service that will see us strengthen our competitive position and enhance our market share in our key European sectors, oil & gas and search & rescue.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Scott Pinfield for his tremendous contribution in his time at CHC and the help he has given me to ensure a seamless transition. His impact on our European activities has been very positive and we wish him well in his next endeavors."
Prior to working for Safi Airways, Tilmann held executive positions with several companies including Evergreen International, Royal Jet - Abu Dhabi, Bombardier Aerospace, Lufthansa and CST Berlin.
