Americas Petrogas has begun producing oil from its Medanito Sur operation in the Neuquen basin, Argentina.

Americas Petrogas put into production the three drilled and completed wells. Initial production from these wells is in the range of 450-475 barrels per day of sweet crude oil (30 degree API). This commencement of production allows Americas Petrogas to start crude oil sales, represents the beginning of a long-term test of the wells to evaluate their performance and to formulate development plans for Medanito Sur.

Commenting on this latest development, Mr. Carlos Lau, Chairman stated, "We are extremely excited to begin this new phase on Medanito Sur and look forward to adding production in the future."
