Goodrich Petroleum Announces Discovery

Goodrich Petroleum Corporation announced that it has made a discovery on its Troon Prospect in the Lafitte Field of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The Troon Prospect in Lafitte Field logged 74 feet of net pay in two sands. The Rigolets No. B-1 well, which is the initial test well for the Troon Prospect, has been drilled to 12,166 feet measured depth in a directional hole and logged. The well was drilled by Parker Drilling's inland barge, PD 57-B. Further evaluation plans include sidewall coring operations and analysis. The Company plans to run production casing to the current depth drilled and deepen the well to test additional sands to a planned total depth of 12,904 feet. This well was classified as a wildcat to test field pay sands in a previously untested fault block. As a result, all reserves from the discovery will be additions to the Company's reported reserves. Goodrich Petroleum owns a 49% working interest in the well and Stone Energy is the operator.
