OEG Supplies Rental Units for Philippines Tindalo Project
Aberdeen-based oil services group OEG Offshore's Singaporean subsidiary has won its first rental contract in the Philippines to deliver a series of units to a project onboard a jackup rig.
OEG Asia Pacific PTE Limited (OEG APac), which specializes in the design, build and rental of cabins and cargo-carrying units for the offshore oil and gas market, has secured a deal with Nido Petroleum worth around £25k (US $40,000) with the option of additional work - the first rental contract with the firm since OEG launched its Singapore base in November 2009.
OEG APac will supply a series of mini-containers and cargo baskets for the Tindalo development project on the Aquamarine Driller. The containers and baskets will be used for the mobilization and demobilization of equipment and supplies to and from the installation.
The units -- which have all been manufactured to the globally-recognised DNV2.7-1 standard -- will be supplied with safety door cargo nets to improve operator safety in the field.
