Plant, lifting and tool rental specialist ATR Group is focusing on continuously improving standards across all its operations, and has been awarded OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety accreditation.
ATR Group is now working towards achieving ISO 14001 environmental management standards certification, as it continues to develop its operation practices across all of its divisions.
The new certificate, awarded following the lengthy industry-standard appraisal process, adds to ATR’s existing ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance rating.
Operations director, Mike Robertson, said, "Personnel across the ATR Group have worked tirelessly to meet the strict requirements of the OHSA standard, and we are proud of the achievement.
"Changing our culture has been key to making this happen -- people at every level of the business have worked hard to take personal ownership in terms of their responsibility for safety.
"Meeting and exceeding the OHSA guidelines also demonstrates to our customers our willingness to invest in all aspects of our business to raise the standard of the product and service they receive."
ATR Group is the market leader in the rental of specialized tools and equipment for the offshore oil and gas industry maintenance market, operating throughout the North Sea and UKCS, and the Caspian region.
The group expanded into the provision of lifting services with the acquisition of Bridon International's Baku and Aberdeen lifting operations, and its companies continue to grow in the global oil and gas marketplace. ATR operates an integrated quality management system, featuring ISO:9001 accreditation across all group companies.
