Mustang on Tuesday announced the retirement of Don Colchin, president of Mustang's Automation and Control business unit, effective December 31, 2009. Richard Seale, manager of projects for the business unit, will succeed Colchin as president at that time. In his new role, Seale will be responsible for the business unit's operations, long-term strategic growth plans, safety performance and customer delivery.
Colchin joined Mustang in 1996 with a core group of automation professionals, including Seale, to develop Mustang's Automation and Control business unit. Under his leadership, the business unit has grown to a staff of more than 200, has offices in three U.S. cities, and was recently named Control Engineeringmagazine's 2010 System Integrator of the Year for companies with revenue greater than $50MM.
Seale has over 30 years' experience in the automation industry, and has held various positions in automation engineering and project management in refining, chemicals and offshore and onshore oil & gas. He is a certified Project Management Professional and is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
