Mosman-1 Well to be Abandoned

The Mosman-1 well in TL2 in the offshore Western Australia in the Carnarvon Basin encountered excellent gas shows while drilling the objective sequence (Lower Barrow Group). The well was drilled by the Ensco 53 jackup and reached a total depth of 2,705 meters. However after detailed evaluation of wireline and formation pressure data indicates the reservoir to be predominantly tight and hence not commercially producible. The well is currently being plugged and abandoned.

Participants in the Mosman-1 well are Apache as operator with 64.4082%; Pan Pacific with 23.16605; and Tap Oil with 12.4258%.
